The 2025-2026 Office of the Attorney General is depicted below. Meet the team that served in 2025-2026!
Attorney General, Taylor Iden
Solicitor General, Hannah Weaver
Major: Political Science
My name is Hannah Weaver, and I am a third-year pre-law political science major from Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. I am excited to serve as the Solicitor General of ASUCSB for the 2025–2026 school year. I decided to join the Office of the Attorney General because I strongly believe that everyone is entitled to a fair defense, and I am committed to providing that support to the association. I am also passionate about helping our community better understand our legal code and its resources, its limitations, and how it guides our work, so that ASUCSB can operate more smoothly and effectively. I look forward to deepening my own legal knowledge and working alongside this office to support our campus community.
Caseworker, Andrew Le
Major: Political Science
My name is Andrew Le and I am a third-year political science student from Fresno, California. I am interested in public integrity and holding political elites accountable and hope to do so one day as an attorney for the Department of Justice. I joined the Office of the Attorney General to become a part of a similar environment on a smaller scale. In my free time, I like to read nonfiction, run long distances, and lift weights.
Caseworker, Caitlin Bergevin
Major: Political Science
Hi! My name is Caitlin Bergevin and I am a fourth-year Political Science major and Professional Writing minor from San Jose, CA. I joined the Office of the Attorney General because maintaining accountability of AS’ extensive resources ensures we serve students effectively. I study political science because I hope to share resources with those most underserved. In my free time, I love to read mysteries and rock climb.
Caseworker, Jas Reza
Major: Earth Science
My name is Jasmine Reza, and I’m from Big Bear Lake, CA. I’m currently studying Earth Science here at UCSB with an emphasis in climate and environment. I am interested in climate advocacy and hope to one day join the fight in protecting our climate, especially through legal measures. I joined the Office of Attorney General to learn more about legal proceedings on a smaller scale and to become more familiar with the legal code on campus.
Caseworker, Nishi Khandaker
Major: Psychology and Brain Science
Hello! My name is Nishi Khandaker! I grew up in Los Angeles County, specifically in the San Fernando Valley for most of my life. I am currently a third year student in Psychology and Brain Science (PBS), however, I am on the Pre-Law track. I chose PBS because I am fascinated by how people think, make decisions and respond to the systems around them. Studying aspects of behavior and cognition gives me a deeper understanding of human motivation and bias which are central to the kind of empathetic, community oriented work I hope to do in law.
I joined the 25-26 Office of the Attorney General (OAG) because I wanted to work in a space that helps students practice accountability and understand the fundamental policies that shape Associated Students (AS). Our office reviews student concerns, interprets the AS legal code, and navigates disputes regarding it. However, the best part of the OAG is how we are able to split apart and conduct independent projects throughout the year on issues we care deeply about, while also being able to come back together to discuss major concerns.
Working in the OAG allows me to build analytical and policy driven skills that I hope to carry into my future in law, while contributing to a more transparent and fair student government.
Caseworker, Olivia Shen
Major:
Caseworker, Travis Applegate
Major: History of Public Policy and Law
I am a fourth-year student at UCSB, majoring in History of Public Policy and Law, who actively translates my academic focus into campus leadership by serving as a caseworker in the Office of the Attorney General, where I am committed to upholding legal integrity and making the campus a better place for all students. I also hold an editorial position at UCSB’s Undergraduate History Journal, meticulously shaping peer-reviewed historical scholarship. Fueled by a passion for the law and legal strategy, I am setting my sights on Law School to one day become an attorney in the field of Mergers and Acquisitions.
