Note: Eric Carlson is no longer serving as this year’s (2025-2026) Attorney General. Effective June 2025, Taylor Iden was nominated and appointed the Attorney General for ASUCSB 2025-2026.

The Office of the Attorney General serves as a bastion of accountability and seeks to represent the layman student as the school year goes on. Serving as the chief legal advisor, the Office of the Attorney General is responsible for investigating instances of alleged misconduct, recording conflicts of interest, and prioritizing this year’s goal of service and civil discourse.

Our ultimate goal is as follows: to ensure that the Associated Students of UC Santa Barbara remains accountable to the students they represent by abiding by the constitution voted on by the student body as a whole and all of its subsidiary documents.
