Students have the right to safe, quality-assured drinking water while they are studying away from home and focusing on their academics. This Study aims to produce tangible results analyzing from a third-party perspective the water quality in the local community.
We are analyzing data in two separate categories- quantitative and qualitative. We have a responsibility to ensure two goals: (1) the water is safe to drink, and (2) people think the water is safe to drink. Both equally as important as the other. Health and Safety Survey: Aquaguard Initiative
This study contains an option to upload media, such as photo or video, related to issues you believe could be related to issues regarding water quality in Isla Vista. We are highly interested in hearing directly from students who live or have lived in Isla Vista. Examples include brown/black water from a spigot, poor tasting tap water, getting sick from drinking pre-filtered or post-filtered water, and instances of low water pressure. Video or photographic proof is very useful, but your experiences are incredibly valuable as well. If you have gotten sick, we do not recommend submitting your medical records, but we do encourage details about when you have gotten sick, the type of symptoms, and if it negatively impacted your studies at UCSB.
